Angola: 1º De Agosto Get First Win in African Cup

Luanda — Angola's 1º de Agosto team managed to get last Friday their first victory at the African Champions Clubs Cup in senior males basketball, after beating Kano Pilars of Nigeria by 78-70, in a second-round match, group B, of the competition taking place in Malabo, Equatorial Guinea.

1º de Agosto, who lost the first game, last Thursday, to Petro de Luanda (also from Angola) by 80-86, started the Friday's game badly, losing the first quarter by 18-19.

The 1º de Agosto team managed to put their act together and overcame the adversary in the second quarter.
