Angola: Solidarity March With People Living With HIV Leads to Voluntary Test

Luena — The march of solidarity with people living with HIV / AIDS held Saturday in Luena, eastern Moxico province, ended with the voluntary testing by the participants.

The event was headed by the provincial vice governor for political and social sphere, Sofia Cacuassa Bento.

Students, workers from different sectors of the service servant and staff of the Angolan Armed Forces (FAA) joined the march that led to the voluntary HIV/AIDS test.

According to the data released by the Provincial Programme of Fight Against AIDS, from January to October, some 418 new cases of HIV/AIDS, 17 deaths, were reported in Moxico.
