Angola: Book On New Angolan Reality Launched in New York

New York — The current state of Angola began to be published this week in the United States of America, after the launch on Wednesday in one of New York bookstores, the book titled Portrait of a New Angola.

Designed and sponsored by Hélder Bataglia dos Santos, president of ESCOM, the work is a "tribute to Angola and Angolans", and its launch in the United States of America "seeks to enhance the perception of the U.S. and the international public opinion on the new reality of the country, after 10 years of peace. "

The production of the book, which includes illustrative pictures of the development that the country has recorded in various fields, counted on experts who worked on the project for almost two years, and its publication is in charge of the international publisher Skyra.

The launching ceremony was chaired by president of ESCOM and assisted by the Permanent Representative of Angola to the United Nations, Ambassador Ismael Gaspar Martins, the consul general in New York, Adao Pinto, by members of the Permanent Mission to the United Nations, the Consulate general and Angolan Community resident in the U.S., as well as personalities who participated in the project.
