Egypt: Minister of Planning - Executive Status of Egypt-Italy Joint Projects Discussed

Minister of Planning and Cooperation Ashraf El-Arabi and his Italian counterpart Andrea Riccardi and the delegation accompanying him, and in attendance of the Italian ambassador in Cairo, discussed on Saturday1/12/2012 the joint ventures between the two countries to set the stage for the Egyptian Italian summit scheduled in Cairo in February of next year.

The Minister pointed to the support Italy provides to Egypt especially in the program of swapping the Italian debts with 53 joint ventures of development which cover 24 governorates.

The two sides also reviewed mechanism of tripartite cooperation between Egypt and Italy in favor of a third African State through development projects in the light of expertise that Egypt has gained in her cooperation with various African states.
