Balal-Dher — At least 38 people were killed and more than number injured in a deadly clan gun battle in Somalia's central Galgadud province witnesses said.

The fighting which was the most horrible in history broke out on Saturday afternoon at Balal-Dheer neighborhood located just 100 Km (62 miles) away Dhusamareb, the provincial capital of Galgadud, central Somalia.

Residents say the warfare sparked over a water well dispute between two clans in the rural locality of Balal-Dheer on Saturday. Both clan militias are said to have been getting re-enforcements as the war still going on.

The exact details who is the upper hand of the battle is yet unclear, but local clan elders call to cease immediately the fire and come on the table to end their hostility in talks.
