Egypt: Gov't to Put Integral Strategy for Energy

Electricity Minister Mahmoud Balbaa, Petroleum Minister Osama Kamal, Minister of Investment Osama Saleh, and Local Development Minister Ahmed Zaki Abdine as well as representatives from private companies and the central bank of Egypt.

The meeting also took up concentrating efforts for tackling obstacles facing the private sector in the domain of traditional, new and renewal energy.

The government provides all facilities needed for fulfilling industrial requirements, the finance minister said, noting that guarantees, which are the main challenges face private investment sector, are being studied by the government.

Touching potential investors issue, Local Development Minister said that there are many investors who are willing and ready to establish new projects in the field of energy production to fulfill the needs of current and new factories in Egypt.

In the same meeting, Electricity Minister Mahmoud Balbaa said that his Ministry has developed very ambitious plans to implement new projects in the field of energy production.
