Egypt: Morsi Calls People to Referendum On the Constitution On Dec. 15

President Mohamed Morsi hailed in a speech on Saturday 1/12/2012 evening the draft constitution, which the members of the Constituent Assembly presented to him at a meeting in the Cairo International Conference Center (CICC).

The president called for a national referendum on the draft on 15 December, 2012.

Morsi termed the decision to call for a referendum on the new constitution as another step to accomplish the goals of the January 25 revolution.

Meanwhile, thousands of the president's supporters gathered at Cairo University for mass rally to support his constitutional declaration.
