Nigeria: Auto Crash Claims Eight in Delta

Asaba — Eight persons were confirmed dead in a fatal motor accident on Thursday evening along Ibusa road, by the river hill, opposite the new Nigeria Immigration Service affice, few kilometers from Asaba, Delta State capital.

Eight other persons also sustained various degrees of injuries in an accident which involved a 911 Lorry and J5.

The sector commander of the Federal Road Safety Commission (FRSC), Mrs. Susan Ajenge told Weekly Trust in Asaba yesterday that the accident was due to over speeding.

Ajenge explained that the 911 lorry collided with the J5 Bus that was coming from the opposite direction having lost control of their vehicles.

An eye witness said some of those who lost their lives were thrown out of the J5 bus while it was in motion.
