Eritrea: Afabet Residents Called Upon to Enhance Participation in Crime Prevention

The office of Police Force in Afabet semi-urban center called on the residents to enhance participation in crime prevention. It made the call during a seminar with secondary and junior students.

Lt. Amenai Zewde, Commander of police forces in the locality, noted the need to popularize national cultural values as they make significant impact to this end, and called on parents to play due role in bequeathing them to the young generation. He further indicated that a declining trend has been noted as regards instances of crime in the area thanks to the conducting of seminars.

The participants of the seminar said that such seminar is vital in raising their awareness regarding law. They further expressed readiness to collaborate with the police.
