Kenya: Aspirants Want Fair Primaries

Two Gwasi parliamentary aspirants have asked Prime Minister Raila Odinga not to endorse any of their rivals in the March 4 elections. George Mboya and Tobias Odundo said the Premier should maintain a neutral stance in the race for the seat.

Mboya, the Homa Bay ODM Mashinani head of communication, said Raila should let ODM aspirants in the whole country campaign on their own.

He said ODM has lost several seats in Gusii in past elections because it favoured unpopular candidates. Mboya said the aspirants can marshall more votes for Raila's presidential bid.
