Rwanda: Second Division League Starts Today

The 2012-2013 second division league is set to start today with a total of ten matches in both Group A and B across the country, Ferwafa has confirmed.

This year's league will have 18 teams divided in two groups.

Group A has Gasabo United, Sec, Rwamagana, Sunrise, Vision Jeunesse Nouvelle, Unity FC, Gicumbi FC, Kirehe FC, SORWATHE FC, and NUR.

Group B includes Esperance FC, Interforce FC, Intare FC, Akagera FC, ASPOR FC, Bugesera FC, Etoile De L'est, Kinyinya Pepinniere FC, and United Stars.

The league starts with Esperance hosting Vision FC, Interforce plays against United Stars, Intare meet Pepiniere, Akagera host Etoile De L'Est, while ASPOR plays Bugesera in group B.

In group A Rwamagana City host Sunrise, Sec Academy will be with Sorwathe, Gasabo meet Kirehe, National University of Rwanda (NUR) plays Gicumbi, while Vision Nouvelle FC hosts Unity.

Last year Musanze won the second league title after beating AS Muhanga but both teams were promoted to the Primus National Football League.
