Kenya: Martin Oduor-Otieno Launches Biography

Martin Oduor-Otieno first came to the limelight when he was plucked from the private sector by President Moi in the 1990s as part of the Dr Richard Leakey-led "dream team".

The highly decorated banker on Wednesday evening launched his official biography, Beyond the Shadows of My Dream: A Biography, at the Serena Hotel in Nairobi.

The book was written by Barrack Muluka, Rosemary Orlale and Odhiambo Orlale. It traces his life from humble beginnings until now that he is one of Kenya's leading captains of industry. He is the CEO of the KCB Group.

In attendance were Dr Richard Leakey, the former Head of the Civil Service, Prime Minister Raila Odinga, former Attorney General Charles Njonjo and former KCB chairman Susan Mudhune. Oduor-Otieno was accompanied by his wife Syprose and children Linda, Andrew, Greg and Irene.
