Kenya: Gang Rapes Three and Steals BVR Kit

An Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission clerk in Kilgoris was gang-raped and robbed of a BVR kit at her Oldonyorasha home on Thursday night.

Deputy police boss Francis Mwangi said the armed gang also raped two other women who were taken to the Trans Mara District Hospital.

The gang broke into a home at around 3am and raped a woman and her daughter before stealing four mobile phones, a DVD player and two solar battery inverters.

Mwangi said policemen pursued and arrested four thugs armed with machetes and swords at Nyacheki market in the neighbouring Kisii. The three will be taken to court on Monday.
