If you want to appreciate the dangers of upcountry travel in Uganda, look no further than the common means used - the buses. While they can be routine, exciting experiences, these journeys often drive you to the brink of catastrophe. Simon Mukasa had just ended a meeting in Pallisa at 9am, and needed to catch up with a client, at least two hours away, in Iganga, at 11am, before getting to Kampala at 5pm, in time for a 9pm flight out of the country.
