Cote d'Ivoire made certain of their participation at the 2013 African U-17 Championship with a 2-1 victory over their Senegalese counterparts in Abidjan on Saturday.

Les Eléphanteaux reached the final tournament 3-2 on aggregate after a 1-1 draw in the first leg in Dakar a fortnight ago.

The Ivorians gave the fans at the Stade Robert Champroux some cause to cheer with the opener through Souleymane Diaby, who fired past Senegal goalie Amadou Sy on 24 minutes.

The lead will only last for four minutes before Abdoulaye Ndiane to keep the tie even.

On 76 minutes, the Ivorians were awarded a penalty after a Senegalese defended handled in the vital area. The result penalty was converted by Agban Bekanty Victorien for the match winner.

The final tournament has been fixed for 13-27 April in Morocco, where the semi finalists will represent Africa at the FIFA U-17 World Cup in the United Aram Emirates next October.
