Angola: Lawyers Launch Law for All Project in Southern Region

Lubango — The Angolan Bar Association in the southern region of Angola developed on Saturday openly in Lubango city, free legal consultations, under the programme dubbed "Law for All", whcich counted on the participation of 24 lawyers from the provinces of Huíla, Namibe and Cunene.

The chairwoman of the regional council of the association, Idalina Rodrigues said to Angop that the activity aimed to help those people that do not have financial conditions to hire a lawyer, as well as enable them to know about their citizenship's rights.

According to her, the project counts on the participation of the members that by free will decided to support this cause that is part of the human rights and in solidarity of those ones that cannot defend themselves.

She said that this action is being carried out in partnership with the provincial governments that will hand over to the Ministry of Justice the names of people that will freely be defended, according to their concerns.

This is the first action of this kind that the council of the Angolan Bar Association in the southern region of Angola holds in Huíla.
