Gambia: Pa Alieu Nyan Revels in Jemsen Cup Triumph

The managing Director of Sky High Group has hailed Jemsen FC's victory in the League final of the 2012 edition of the Sky High-sponsored Banjul Nawettan.

Pa Alieu Nyan, a well known follower of Jemsen, having originated from the area that the team is based, was speaking to Observer Sports at the end of Friday's pulsating game that was settled by penalties. "This is a derby game because the other team we were playing is living very close to us in Banjul and there has always been the rivalry for 30 years now but you can also see a very healthy rivalry between the two teams and I think they have taken the defeat in good faith," Nyan said.

Speaking further, the Sky High Group MD reaffirmed his company's support to the development of sports across the country especially at the grassroots level. He revealed that his company has also sponsored the leading goalscorer and most disciplined team in the Bakau and Sukuta Nawettans. "Sky High Group will forever be associated with sports in The Gambia and it will not stop at Banjul alone but also in the different zones and we hope to do that with the other zones as well," he added.
