Egypt: 66 Injured, 1 Dead in Cairo Demonstrations

Sixty-six people were injured and one person died in Saturday and Sunday's demonstrations while an 18-year old who received a bullet in the head last week has been announced dead, a source from the Health Ministry said.

In a statement, Aly Amr from the ministry said that 48 of the injured have been dismissed from the local hospitals where they were admitted while 18 are still being treated.

One person died as a result of a fallen tree in one of yesterday's demonstrations.

Nationwide protests for and against a constitutional decree issued by the country's president took place during the weekend.

On another note, 18-year old Ahmed Naguib who was shot in the head last week in scuffles with police was announced dead this morning.
