Angola: U.S./Angola Chamber of Commerce Invests in Economy Diversification

Luanda — The chamber of commerce of US and Angola (USACC) is committed to invest in the diversification of the Angolan economy, says a note from the institution that reached Angop on Monday in Luanda.

In this framework, the document reads that two US companies of non oil sector entered this year the Angolan marked in the field of energy and foodstuff.

The companies are Cummins Angola and Kentucky Fried Chicken (KFC).

The entrance of these two companies increased the private investment of US in Angola estimated at AKZ 1.7 billion.

It is eyed an increase of US investment in the non oil sector in 2013, as various American companies operating in South Africa are entering the Angolan market.
