Benguela — The minister of Transports, Augusto Tomás, defended Friday in Lobito, central Benguela province, the strengthening of the geostrategic and geopolitical positions of Angola, through the modernisation of various sectors that contribute to a good performance of the country's development corridors.
The Cabinet minister was speaking at the closing session of the International Conference of the Lobito Corridor, held on 29-30 November which gathered 10 countries.
According to the official, Angola has seven development corridors, including that of Lobito.
He added that Angola has the Development Corridors of Cabinda, Malanje and Namibe (cross), in addition to the three longitudinal others - one on the coast, another in the centre and the last one in the northeast / east of the country.
