According to a press communiqué, the association informs that it will undergo a period of reflection to decide its participation in the 2014 Carnival.
Chá de Caxinde manifests its deep dissatisfaction at statements made by the Luanda Province culture director, Manuel Sebastião, also being accused of adopting an exclusion and discrimination policy against the "Unidos de Caxinde" group.
The document states that on the 24 November edition of the Jornal de Angola daily newspaper, Manuel Sebastião made some impolite and not serious comments with the aim of attacking the
association and tainting the good name and prestige it has achieved throughout the years.
