Kenya-South Africa Business Lobby Launched

Although South Africa has had cordial and long-standing relationship with Kenya, there has been no formal business lobby to serve the interests of the two countries.

This came to an end last Thursday evening during the launch of the South Africa-Kenya Business Association. The event was held at the Intercontinental Hotel in Nairobi.

The launch was presided over by Trade PS Abdulrazaq Adan Ali and South African High Commissioner Ndumiso Ntshinga. In attendance were businessmen from the two countries including Kenya Association of Manufacturers chairman and Haco Tiger Brands regional boss Polycarp Igathe and DSTV regional boss Stephen Isaboke, both of whom were instrumental in getting the new lobby off the ground. Also present were members of the South African Women's Association.
