Kenya: Mutua Vow On Food Security

Former government spokesman Dr Alfred Mutua has said the era of food aid in Ukambani will be soon be phased out through a farming subsidies.

He promised to ensure farmers get free tractors,seeds and fertilisers if elected governor. Mutua was addressing rallies in Lita Mbee and Kaviani markets during a four-day tour of Kathiani.

He said he will use the Malawi model to ensure food security in the county. Mutua said he will woo foreign investors to the county to set up factories especially for processing farm produce and value addition to create jobs for the residents.
