Angola: Military Co-Operation Contributes to Army Restructuring Process

Luanda — The technical and military co-operation between Angola and Portugal has been contributing a lot to the rebuilding process of the Angolan Armed Forces (FAA), on Monday here said the director of international relations of the Defense Ministry, General Higino de Sousa Ze Grande.

The general said so when speaking at the opening of the 14th meeting of the Portuguese-Angolan bilateral commission in the domain of defence, adding that this co-operation has been given an added value to the ministry.

According to him, it is in this ambit that the 10 projects included in the programme will take place without any constrains, with regard to what was planned.

"The analyze we will do on the materialization of each project will enable us to see the level of implementation, the possible constraints and outline solutions so that the programmes be fully accomplished.

On the other hand, he expressed his concern with regard to the situation in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) and Guinea Bissau. The meeting is due to end on Wednesday.
