Angola: Sports National Director Points Out Goals for SADC Games

Luanda — The national director of Sports, Raimundo Ricardo, on Monday here assured the improvement of the sixth position of the Angolan delegation at the 5th games of the Southern African Development Community (SADC), set for December 07-16, in Lusaka, Zambia.

He said that despite the difficulties of the athletes of the seven sports, no one goes to a competition only to participate.

"We acknowledge the existing shortages due to financial reasons, mainly with regard to the necessary support for a better preparation of the athletes. We will go with a spirit of mission, with the goal of fighting for the possible number of medals. I know that it will be difficult,

but I believe in the efforts and dedication of the athletes to dignify the country", he said.

The delegation comprises 120 people among athletes, coaches and journalists.
