Angola: Portuguese Cultural Centre Hosts Van's Exhibition

Luanda — A plastic arts exhibition by Angolan artist Francisco Van-Dúnem "Van", called "Kitandeiras e Zungueiras", will open on December 6 in the Portuguese Cultural Centre, in Luanda.

According to a Centre's note that reached Angop on Monday, the exhibition is a project that follows the need to show to the plastic arts loving public an interesting collection of pieces with which the author approaches the role of women in the informal job market.

The source adds that the collection of pieces that Van presents is characterised by a strong trace of angolanity, in which he attests to his concern with socio-cultural aspects of the people of Angola and the plastic-poetic and traditional side of the kitandeira's (market vendors) activity.
