Nigeria: Sell New Govt. House and Pay Workers, Jang Urged

Governor of Plateau State, Jonah David Jang has been urged to sell off the Government House he has newly begun to build and use the money to pay striking workers in the state.

One time Senator of the Second Republic, Senator Venmak Dangin, who charged Jang in a press statement released in Jos on Monday, condemned in strong terms the construction of a new Government House by Jang at the cost of N6 billion at the expense of workers' salaries, describing it as a misplacement of priority.

But the state government has said that the new Government House does not cost N6 Billion Naira, but N4.4 billion.
