Djiboutian Defence Minister Abdoulkader Kamil Mohamed travelled to Beledweyne on Sunday (December 2nd) to assess African Mission in Somalia (AMISOM) troops in the area, UN-funded Radio Bar-Kulan reported.
Commander of Djiboutian Security Forces Hassan Saeed and Defence Chief of Staff Zakaria Sheikh Ibrahim accompanied Mohamed.
They will meet with the regional administration in Hiran, top AMISOM officials and representatives from the Somali armed forces, according to Osman Dubat, head of AMISOM forces in the Hiran region.
The Djiboutian contingent follows a visit from AMISOM force commander Lieutenant General Andrew Gutti to the city last week.
