Presidential spokesman Yasser Ali said that President Mohamed Morsi has put forth an initiative to discuss the coming phase with all political powers, especially topics related to the transitional period.
Ali noted that the president met with the supreme judicial council and the heads of judicial bodies three times over the last five months.
The president asserted respect for the independence of the judiciary during his meeting with the supreme council, Ali said.
