Photo: allAfrica.com The top four office bearers of Swapo are automatically part of the central committee members. They are president Hifikepunye Pohamba, vice president Hage Geingob, secretary general Nangolo Mbumba and deputy secretary general Laura McLeod-Katjirua.
Founding President Sam Nujoma and one of Swapo's founding members, Andimba Toivo ya Toivo, have been elected as permanent members of the Central Committee.
Other members are the 13 Swapo regional coordinators and leaders of the wings of Swapo. Ten additional members are appointed by the president onto the central committee.
