Katsina — A chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Katsina State, Alhaji Bala Mamman Ingawa, who is currently standing trial before an Upper Shari'ah Court for allegedly defaming and assaulting Senator Kanti Bello, has pleaded not guilty to the charges leveled against him.
When the charges were read to him, the accused said, "I have never called Senator Kanti Bello a thief. There was never a time I accused him of stealing as he claimed in the charge sheet."
