LoneStar Cell MTN on Sunday, December 2, 2012 ended its second Mobile Money Money football and kickball tournament in the Borough of New Kru on the Bushrod Island, outside Monrovia.

The first Mobile Money football and kickball tournament was held in the Township of West Point, in Monrovia. Speaking to reporters, the Financial Comptroller of LoneStar Cell MTN, Mr. Morris D. Teah, said the tournament is intended to create awareness for the Mobile Money service.

He said the sensitization is geared towards encouraging more customers to subscribe to the service. Mr. Morris said the tournament will also be taken to other parts of Montserrado and other counties.

He said the company is expected to give away excellent prices at the end of each tournament.

"We want to ease the issue of cash transaction off the shoulders of our many good subscribers. This is why we brought in this service called the Mobile Money.

"Now it is time to sensitize our subscribers, so we thought it wise to organize these tournaments," he amongst other things added."

Meanwhile, the grand finals of the games were on within press time.
