Kenya: Orange Cuts Call Rate in Christmas Promo

Telkom Kenya has launched an offer for its pre-paid subscribers to pay lower for voice calls during the festive season. The customers on the network will be able to make calls within the network for Sh 1 between 8 pm and 8am, and pay Sh2 between 8 am and 8 pm.

They can also send on-net and off-net SMS for as low as 50 cents and to access social networking site Facebook zero and content site Wikipedia for free until January 10,2013..

Telkom CEO Mickael Ghossein said the offer dubbed "Furahia Krimasi" will be the primary default tariff during the holiday season for its mobile pre-paid customers that are not subscribed to its other offers. Orange will maintains its off-net calls rate at Sh 4 during the season.
