Mother to child transmission of HIV can be reduced by more than 50 percent with integrated health services. A study by the Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric Aids Foundation shows that HIV positive mothers are more likely to take their infants to clinics that provide integrated services than they would to HIV care clinics. Gynecologist John Ong'ech was the lead researcher.
