Kenyan contestants have been selected to participate in this year's Guinness Football Challenge TV show, which will pit the Kenyan contestants against their Ugandan and Tanzanian counter-parts.
The 16 contestants were selected out of more than 300 other contestants who turned up during the Guinness Football Challenge auditions held in Nairobi, Mombasa and Nakuru.
Stephen Githinji, Michael Kirwa, Oscar Litonde, Daniel Mwania, Chris Mwangi, Kenneth Njoroge, Willis Ogutu, Kenneth Karanja, Samuel Papa, Jared Obayo, Awadh Mbarak, Donald Otieno, Kepha Kimani, Francis Ngigi, Gideon Odhiambo and Stephen Mwangi form the eight teams that will represent Kenya in the competition.
Speaking during the selection of the teams, Guinness and Partner Brands marketing manager, Arianne Okong'o said "Season three of the Guinness Football Challenge is big for us and we have high expectations and confidence in our Kenyan team.
We hope they will do us proud and prove their mettle as they face the teams from other African countries. There is a lot at stake and we hope all football fans will have something to look forward to every week once the show kicks off."
