Lubango — The deputy coach of the national football team, José Kilamba, Tuesday in Lubango, southern Huila province, said that the goal of the national squad is to rank third in the African Cup of the Nations (CAN2013), to happen in South Africa. José Kilamba was speaking to Angop about his expectation around the event.
The assistant coach said the primary goal set by the coaching body and the Angolan Football Federation (FAF) is to ensure the qualification for the second stage and then work for the first three places.
"We think of winning group A. If we manage to do so we will be closer to achieve our goals," he said.
He admitted that it will be a difficult task, given the potential of other members of the group, assuring that a hard work is in progress so that we can reach at least the third place in the competition.The national football team started Tuesday the training session in Lubango city.
