It was a red letter day last Friday night at the Royal Nairobi Golf Club as the cream of Kenya's marketing fraternity met to celebrate their own at the annual MSK Warrior Awards. Despite the rains and awful traffic there was a large turnout of Kenya's marketing community.
The chief guest Information PS Dr Bitange Ndemo encouraged marketers to increasingly use ICT based approach to their work saying social media tools has big potential to reach huge audience.
"Social media is changing the minds of many customers in a fast and inexpensive manner. It also gives you a chance to analyze and understand your customers and their needs", said Ndemo. The emcee of the evening was Radio Africa Group's marketing manager Caroline Mutoko.
