Nigeria: Rivers TUC Canvasses Domestication of UN Convention On Rights of Disabled

The Trade Union Congress of Nigeria (TUC) has called on the National Assembly and various State Houses of Assembly to domesticate the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities, which was adopted by the UN General Assembly on December 13, 2006.

The aim of the Convention is to promote, protect and ensure the full and equal enjoyment of all human rights and fundamental freedoms by all persons with disabilities, and to promote respect for their inherent dignity.
