Lagos — President and Chief Executive Officer of General Electric (GE) Nigeria, Lazarus Agbazo has said his company's recent partnership with the federal government in the power and rail transport sectors was aimed at delivering government priorities for vision 2020.
Agbazo, who spoke in Lagos with newsmen, said his company is also committed to contributing to the economic development and improved quality of lives for Nigerians.
"GE is a trusted and strategic partner to the Nigerian government and the people of Nigeria. Our commitment to grow in Nigeria is demonstrated by our holistic approach to investments in the country," he said.
According to him, in providing the infrastructural and technological needs in the power, healthcare and rail transportation sectors, the company's diverse technologies are well positioned to help the country become a top 20 economy by 2020.
He said: "GE is committed to localizing global innovation capabilities, home grown solutions to Nigeria's problems and collaborating with Nigerian stakeholders to broaden the innovation play while building strong partnerships.
