Liberia: Ocean Blue Formally Opens for Business

The General Manager/owner of Ocean Blue Beach Resort Hotel and Restaurant has succeeded in opening to the public a state-of-the art tourism resort and has vowed to further improve the tourism sector which was badly hit by the civil war.

Speaking during programs marking the grand opening of the tourism resort over the weekend, George Hakman, General Manager/Owner said Ocean Blue is here to positively contribute to the sector through quality service to scores of its valued customers and the general public.

"We would like to take this opportunity to confirm to you our position in offering the best services at Ocean Blue Resort as well as making sure that your journey is a memorable and successful one", Hakman told this paper.

Ocean Blue Resort which is located in Congo Town along the beach side with about 300 feet facing the Atlantic Ocean, Hakman indicated, has a fantastic sandy terrace that certainly has a unique ocean view and allows for an amazing interaction with the ocean from a close distance.

He explained that his management has and continued to conduct several training courses as well as employing highly skilled Liberians to face the many challenges facing the tourism and hospitality sector.

Commenting on the promising investment climate, Hakman welcomed the emergence of foreign investment in Liberia underscoring the need for economic cooperation which will boost the Liberian economy.

He explained that the dream and aspiration of his management is to build a long term relationship with its valued customers and the Government and people of Liberia.

He expressed hope that, as the economic situation improves in the country; his Business investment will improve and expand thereby creating more jobs for Liberians.

Also during a guarded toured of the company's state-of-the art facility in Congo Town, this paper gathered that staffers and employees of the Company received just salary and compensation for work performance alongside good incentives and other benefits as well as a cordial working relationship.

Similarly, several employees who spoke to this paper have hailed the Hakman management for the level of employment opportunity and landmark achievement it continues to make.
