Angola: Libolo and Petro Invincible At End of Group Phase

Luanda — The Angolan senior males basketball teams of s Recreativo do Libolo and Petro de Luanda finished invincible in the first phase of the African Champions Clubs Cup, taking place in Malabo (Equatorial Guinea), after winning all five games of each group.

In the last round of the group phase, Recreativo do Libolo beat on Tuesday Espoir of Rwanda by 92-74, while Petro de Luanda defeated Mazembe of DR Congo by 86-65.

With this result, Recreativo do Libolo, winner of group A, will play fourth-positioned team of group B that might be the Egyptian Al Ahly (4th) or Kano Pillars of Nigeria (5th).

On their turn, Petro de Luanda, winner of group B, might face Manga BB of Gabon in the quarter finals.
