Zambia: Chisamba Murder Suspect Nabbed

POLICE in Chisamba have picked up a housewife in connection with the brutal killing of a woman who had her teeth and limbs removed before setting ablaze the deceased's house.

Police sources said the woman had been detained, while her husband had gone in hiding. Central Province police chief Standwell Lungu when contacted for a comment said he was not aware but indicated that investigations were progressing.

But police sources said the woman was picked up from her home following investigations which saw many people being interviewed.

Sources said the woman's husband was suspected to have been in a love affair with the deceased, identified as Sharon Kaseba.

Last month, the woman was brutally murdered at Kasabati Farm before setting the house she was in ablaze.

Older sister of the deceased, Prisca, said the murder could have been a ritual killing.
