Somalia: Somali President Receives a Warm Welcome in Turkey

Istanbul — Hassan Sheikh Mohamud, Somali president has been cordially welcomed in Istanbul by senior Turkish officials as he arrived at the airport in Istanbul city on three-day state visit, a diplomat said.

Abdiqadir Mohamed Nur, A diplomat in Somali embassy in Turkey said President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud is set Wednesday to meet with Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan and other top officials during his state visit in Istanbul.

"The President and his delegation in their State Visit are scheduled to meet today with the President of Turkey H.E Abdullah Gul and Prime Minister H.E Recep Tayip Erdogan and other high ranking Turkish Government Officials", he added.

Mr.Mohamud will discuss Turkey to strengthen the bilateral relations and many important issues, such as military and Security, diplomatic, technical and economic development which will deepen the relations between the two countries.
