Kenya: Khwisero School Gets Cash for Electrification

Campaigns to light up rural learning institutions in Kakamega received a boost after a donors funded an electrification project of a school in Khwisero.

A Chinese organization, The Soluxe International Group of Hotels in partnership with a local NGO, Asira Foundation gave Ikomero Primary School Shs 35,000 towards installing electricity in the school.

Speaking during the function held over the weekend, Asira Foundation director Franklin Olumasai said his foundation is dedicated to providing learning necessities so as to improve improving performance.

The school head teacher Maurice Angoya said the donation will help install electricity in the school administration block and three upper classes.
