Uganda/Kenya: Cranes, Kenya Advance to Cecafa Semi-Finals

Two goals in each half were enough to see hosts Uganda advance to the semi-finals of the on-going CECAFA Tusker Challenge Cup at the expense of Ethiopia.

The game played at the Nelson Mandela national stadium saw youthful Geoffrey Kizito slot home as early as the 4th minute after great spadework from the industrious winger, Moses Oloya. Diminutive Cranes striker, Robert Ssentongo doubled Cranes' lead 15 minutes into the second half.

The Cranes will now renew their decades-long rivalry with neighbours Tanzania on Dec. 6 while Kenya's Harambee Stars play Zanzibar in the other semi-final.

The finals are slated for Dec.8 at the Nelson Mandela National Stadium.
