Luanda — The chairman of the African Handball Confederation (CAHB), Aremou Manserou, Wednesday in Luanda acknowledged the potential of the Angolan handball, both in terms of national squads and teams, mainly in the women category, Angop learnt.
The official was speaking to the press at Luanda International Airport, shortly his arrival to witness the swearing-in of the chairman of the Angolan Handball Federation, Pedro Godinho, elected for one more term.
He said that he is in the country because "Angola is a reference of the handball in Africa" and that throughout the current mandate he always desired to visit the country and meet with all authors that have been contributing to the success of the Angolan handball, including players, clubs managers, federation officials and other.
The official also said that he will seize the occasion to congratulate the newly re-elected chairman and his staff.
He announced that the chairman of the International Handball Federation, Egyptian Hassan Mustafa, is also willing to visit Angola.
