Angola: Former Producer Highlights Qualities of Chissica Artz

Huambo — The promoter of events, Hito Capitalista, Wednesday in central Huambo province, said that the death of the singer Chissica Artz, on Tuesday, is a hard blow to the local music, taking into account his contribution to the valorisation and promotion of the rhythms of the region, Angop learnt.

According to him, Chissica Artz always gave priority, in his songs to the uses and customs of the region of the country he was from.

"Chissica Artz, whose death I considers very premature, was a different singer. He never forgot to valorise and preserve the musical line of Huambo," he said.

Meanwhile, in 2002, Chissica Artz stood third in the category of best artist of the Southern Africa region, with the Kora Award, along with such singers as Koffi Olomide and Ivonne Chaka Chaka.
