Egypt: Presidential Delegation Probes Morsi's U.S. Visit Preparations Early Next Year

US President Barack Obama received on Tuesday 4/12/2012the President's assistant for foreign affairs and international cooperation Essam el-Hadad at the White House, the Egyptian Embassy in Washington announced.

In a press release last night, the embassy said Haddad led an Egyptian delegation on a visit to the US to prepare for President Mohamed Morsi's visit to the US early next year at an invitation from Obama.

According to the release, Morsi has dispatched an Egyptian delegation to the US at an invitation from the US administration to hold consultations on economic aid, the future of bilateral relations as well as regional issues including the Palestinian cause, the Syrian crisis and the situation in the African Sahel.

The release said the delegation members will make arrangements for Morsi's trip to the US early next year.
