Kenya: Six Somali Aliens Arrested At Busia Border

The journey into Kenya by six Somali aliens was cut short at the Busia border.

Police arrested the six as they attempted to cross into Kenya from Luwero, Uganda aboard three boda bodas. The boda boda operators however escaped.

Briefing the members of the press at his office yesterday, Busia Acting District Commissioner John Cheruiyot said police responded to information provided by Bukhayo West location chief Chrispinus Odunga Mauda and were able to make the arrest.

Cheruiyot lauded the public for their vigilance because it was they were first spotted the aliens and give a tip-off to the chief.

"We must all work together, especially with the police at this time when the country is under threat from al-Shabaab terrorists," he said.
