Egypt: Irrigation Minister - Ministry Sets Plan to Carry Out Proposed Projects Till 2017

Irrigation Minister Mohamed Bahaa el-Din said on Tuesday 4/12/2012 that the Ministry has laid down a plan to carry out proposed projects till 2017 worth LE 101 million is allocated for well drilling and construction of reservoirs and dams and berms and artificial lakes.

Bahaa el-Din said in a press statement on the sidelines of his inspection tour on Tuesday4/12/2012 to South Sinai to check on work progress in rain water collection and protection from floods projects.

The work is carried out in the areas of Wadi Watir, Dahab, Sharm el Sheikh, Abu Redeiss and St Catherine, he said.
